Stand Up

Sometimes when we take a stand to better our lives, we make enemies. By making decisions that make changes we upset the order of things in some people’s worlds.

I have received about as much negative input and reactivity to the decision to avoid sugar as I have over major life changes like moving, divorce and job changes. By telling the truth about the damage that sugar can do in our bodies, I apparently upset some people’s entire lives. Speaking out against an addiction of any kind will always draw fire but speaking out against a legal addiction is just tabu in some circles.

What we need to remember is that sometimes these offended souls will try to deliberately sabotage our weight loss efforts. Misery loves company and quite often, unless we are on our vigilant guard we allow these trouble makers to pull us under.

Stand your ground. Stand up for yourself. Having a backbone does a body good! ;-*

That is an important message for our readers. Misery loves company and many do not like it when we improve the quality of our lives.
