Fulfill Vitamin & Protein Bar Review

I saw these Fulfill Vitamin & Protein bars at our local Quick Trip as I was passing through the store to get something cold to drink before going to work. I’m not sure how long this product has been out, but they are new to me anyhow.

From Fulfill Nutrition:

Fuel your everyday adventures with this luscious triple-layered treat. This bar’s peanut-flavored nougat center is topped by a caramel-flavored crème layer, covered by a double layer of chocolatey goodness and topped with real peanut pieces. Best of all, it has 15 grams of protein, 1 gram of sugar, 2 grams net carbs, and is at least an excellent source of eight different vitamins.

I’ve seen plenty enough of these types of bold claims on many other protein bars, and have found that a large percentage of them are no where near as tasty as the descriptions are enticing. My experience with most any type of nutrition bar, or drink, is that once they begin adding vitamins to the mix to make them more healthy, the flavor goes downhill as many companies produce products where the vitamin taste overpowers everything else.

I have to say, this vitamin & protein bar far exceeded my expectations. Fulfill Nutrition hit the ball out of the park with these bars. Unlike some similar bars on the market, there was no overpowering taste of stevia, nor was this bar bland and dry. Fulfill Nutrition has put together the perfect blend of healthy ingredients with these bars. The chocolate, caramel, and peanuts was quite pleasing to my taste. And best of all, it had a chewiness that really made it pleasant to eat. The only downside is the use of maltitol as a sweetener. You would not want to eat more than one of these bars in a day, or you might find yourself setting on the pot with a case of gastro-intestinal upset.

However, kudo’s to Fulfill Nutrition with this product. I can’t wait to try more of their flavors…

Generally, it is not my practice to consume very many processed foods. But, sometimes when I am on the go, I will settle for a protein bar or drink before going for the roller dogs that are always available at Quick Trip stores. Although these bars are really a glorified candy bar, the nutritional quality is far better than most other convenience store fare. I recommend you give them a try and let us know what you think.
